A Week in Copenhagen

One place I didn't get to see when I was in the Danish capital last time was Grundtvigs Kirke. Though off the beaten track and more or less forgotten by guidebooks, I think it is actually much more interesting and beautiful than the Little Mermaid, Amalienborg, Marmokirken and what not combined.



No sculptures, no paintings, no frescoes. The result is all the more impressive:




A photographic opportunity of a completely different kind came up a couple days earlier. Not that I planned to attend a major three-day Samba pandemonium, but in the end the Copenhagen Carnival proved to be well worth seeing:
